I had a friend who worked for Universal Music Group and he would periodically send me a batch of CDS to listen to and see I liked any of them. If I did, I’d kept them if not, I’d pass them on to someone who might. Swim was one of them and I totally got into it. JFK music has been a huge part of life along with your solo

Project and has to be one of my top 6 Bands ever! Best of luck and looking forward to hearing new music - Dan Martinez/ Grand Island Ne.

That’s awesome Dan! When we were talking with labels we would often be allowed to raid the cd closets, then we’d listen to them on tour. I remember T and I getting really to the Gypsy Kings that way. 😎

Very few albums can make it for 20+ years on rotation in my music catalog. This one has never stopped. For me, it's pretty damn close to perfection. Excited to hear what's to come, Joe.

It was an interesting read - learning about what happened behind the scenes. Must have been tough. I think the thing I love most about Swim is the imagery the lyrics conjure in my mind - like I can experience it even if they aren't my memories. Also, at the time I was into a girl who introduced you guys to me :) If only I lived nearby so I could see a show!

Thanks Phil! Yes, it's the old rock band story cliche with highs and lows. As for imagery, I think as a visual artist too I just always enjoyed putting a few good "concrete nouns" in a song ha. Thanks for listening.
